Match Our Knight Arts Challenge Grant!

Logo for new project "OPEN AIR" by Rafael Lozano-HemmerThe Association for Public Art was awarded a $250,000 inaugural Knight Arts Challenge grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. In order to receive these funds, we need your matching contribution.

All donations are tax deductible and donations of $25 and above receive an aPA Membership valid through October 2013.

Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 21st and 24th Streets

Inspired by Philadelphia’s rich tradition of democracy and respect for free speech, “OPEN AIR” transformed Philadelphia’s night sky with 24 powerful robotic searchlights that were directed by participants’ voices and GPS locations.
