Co-curated by Hamza Walker, Kara Walker, and Bennett Simpson, the much-anticipated MONUMENTS exhibition in Los Angeles at MOCA and The Brick (on view through May 6, 2026) features a powerful assembly of borrowed, decommissioned monuments—many of them Confederate—alongside newly commissioned contemporary works.
