The Association for Public Art (aPA) is seeking “Art Ambassadors” to assist with aPA’s 151st Annual Meeting to celebrate the opening of Maren Hassinger’s exhibition Steel Bodies on Wednesday, June 14th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (shift will be three hours, exact times TBD) at the Ellen Phillips Samuel Memorial on Kelly Drive (see map). This is a free, outdoor public event that will include brief remarks from the artist, a summary of aPA’s annual activities, and a reception.
Art Ambassadors will be the public face of aPA during the program. We are seeking high-energy, responsible individuals with strong communication skills and experience in hospitality or customer service. Responsibilities will include:
• Directing guests to Ellen Phillips Samuel Memorial
• Assisting staff with set-up and breakdown of tables and chairs
• Answering questions about the event
• Assisting with check-in registration for guests
Art Ambassadors will be paid $100 for a three-hour shift, and must attend an orientation session prior to the event.
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
